Superhero Rep: Oh, yeah. People love James. Marines, especially, love having him around. He's a damn good Marine and he does wonders for morale, just like his father back in WWII. When he's home, he's an anti-war speaker who advocates retreat from the Middle East.

Powers:

•James inherited the effects of the Super Soldier Serum. He has above-average strength, stamina and durability, as well as an enhanced metabolism, eyesight, hearing, agility and reflexes. Basically, his powers are Being Better Than You At Everything.

Notes:

• There was some drama with his older brother, Owen, when Owen returned from war. Afraid of the bad press and spooked by the effects of the war on Owen, James largely pulled away from his brother. Five years (and a couple tours in Afghanistan) later, they're just now starting to mend their relationship.

• Very privately homosexual. James is ever so slowly coming out of the closet (with no intention of ever going public with it), starting with Owen. His gradual coming out was prompted by his (also very private) relationship with Alex Summers.
